March 27, 2020

Dear Parent/Guardian: We have been in touch with the State, County and local school districts and based on the information we received from them and given all the information we now have about the Coronavirus (COVID 19), we decided to close Dubnoff School from Tuesday, March 17th through Friday, March 27th. We are now extending our closure through Friday, April 10th. We are scheduled to resume school April 13th. LAUSD and other school districts have extended their school closures through May 1st. We will let you know either next week or the following week if we will be extending our school closure. Next Thursday, April 2, we will be sending a second set of packets to all of our students. Included in these packets will be assignments for each of your daughter’s/son’s classes. This work will cover assignments for your son’s/daughter’s classes through Friday, April 10th. This will allow him/her to earn credits during this time. Additionally, assignments and links to other resources will be available on our website This site will be updated as we are given new information from the Federal and State governments as well as local school districts. We will be adding additional work and more resources while school is closed. We are also now using Google Classroom. Google Classroom is an online resource used nationwide by teachers providing remote instruction to their students. Please visit our website, Teaching and counseling staff will be reaching out by phone to check in with you and your child while school is closed. They will be able to explain how to access this information. LAUSD and our other districts have opened up family centers so that families can receive food supplies if needed. Your son/daughter qualifies to receive these meals as well as other children in your household. Please go on line to see where the closest center is in your neighborhood. We understand this is a very difficult time for everyone and hope all of you are safe. Please do not hesitate to contact us for any additional information. Administrative staff will be monitoring the phones and messages during the school closure. You can also email the Administrative Team at or you have any questions. Again, please take these precautions and keep your family safe during these very difficult times.

Sincerely, Ray Hairapatian, M.Ed. Principal, Dubnoff School
